PURPOSE OF MATURE WORKSHOP
The purpose of the workshop is to enhance your driving skills and allow you to make your own decisions about your driving, based on what you learn. We will teach you about the effects of aging drivers, compensation skills for dimished abilities, and defensive driving skills. The workshop will enhance your driving skills and make you more observant, cautious and confident while on the road.
People over the age 55 are becomming the fastest growing segment of our population, and continued mobility is a very important issue. A driver's license is not only a convenience; it is a symbol of independence, and a major factor for emotional well-being.
If you are one of the many people in southeast Michigan age 50 or older, the Traffic Improvement Association (TIA) and Ford Motor Company Fund are offering Mature Driver Workshops that can help refine your driving skills.
